C’est une scène assez surréaliste, vécue ce matin même dans un magasin de chaussures, qui me redonne l’envie d’écrire quelque chose ici…
Mais d’abord il faut que je raconte ce qui m’amène dans ce magasin de chaussure. (oui, le besoin d’une nouvelle paire, tu l’avais deviné, perspicace que tu es…) : cette année je réalise un vieux rêve, aller bosser en train. (oui certains de mes rêves ressemblent aux cauchemars des autres, mais bon que veux-tu, il en faut pour tous les goûts, comme disait ma grand-mère (pas la pute, la collabo, comme disait quelqu’Un). Bosser en train, je sais pas, j’en rêve depuis longtemps, m’installer dans le siège confortable, sortir mon bouquin, voire mon tricot (deux heures par semaine, à Pâques j’ai une paire de chaussettes, non ?)
Bon, donc cette année, l’occasion se présente. J’ai le choix entre user ma kangou jusqu’au bout (elle a déjà 250 000 km au compteur, et je ne compte plus les bruits bizarres ni les allumages intempestifs de voyants…), ou prendre le train, je préfère donc le train, conformément au slogan de la SNCF.
Et certes, je ne suis pas déçue. Les TER sont confortables, pendant un quart d’heure chaque matin et chaque soir à 13h30 (oui ben ça va, ho !!! je fais des heures sup cette année, en plus !!), je peux bouquiner, ou écouter les nombreux podcasts qui se sont accumulés dans mon iTunes, tout en buvant mon thé grâce à ma fidèle mug isotherme… C’est vraiment chouette.
Ce qui est un peu moins chouette, c’est qu’avant le train, j’ai aussi un quart d’heure de bus (et là, tu bois pas de thé sinon tu t’ébouillante à chaque cahot, tu ne lis pas parce que sinon tu vomis, et tu ne tricotes pas sous peine d’éborgner un de tes voisins, même si tes double-pointes sont des “courtes” spéciales chaussettes, justement. Reste donc le podcast dans les oreilles, j’en sais plus que je ne le voudrais sur la Fantaisie et Fugue sur BACH de Liszt, une émission d’une heure trente comparant la version pour orgue et celle pour piano, décortiquant chaque phrase…); mais le bus, ça va encore : dedans, on est au sec.
Le pire vient APRÈS le train (ou avant quand je rentre du collège, faut suivre un peu aussi) : vingt minutes de marche au pas de charge. Sous la pluie. (oui, sous la pluie, SYSTÉMATIQUEMENT.)
Autant j’aime marcher, et je suis capable de marcher des heures. Autant marcher à ce rythme-là, c’est plus vraiment de la promenade. Surtout avec un gros cartable dans une main, et un petit sac dans l’autre. (oui, le petit sac est indispensable : je les mets où, sinon, mon lecteur MP3, ma mug isotherme et mon bouquin, indispensables à mon bien-être pendant le quart d’heure de train, mmh ?) (ben non, ça tient pas dans mon cartable ! Sans compter que la dernière fois que j’ai essayé, j’avais mal fermé la dite mug, qui est fort étanche quand on verrouille son couvercle, mais qui, sans ce petit clic anodin, a déversé environ une tasse de café sur mes cahiers, partitions, listes de classes, etc…).
Aucune de mes trois paires de godillots ne s’est révélée vraiment étanche (et contrairement à la mug, elles ne disposent pas du petit “clic” de verrouillage anti-pluie). Je frôle donc la mort chaque jour, en faisant 4 (et même une fois 7 !) heures de cours les pieds dans des chaussettes trempées.
Les trois paires, pourtant vieilles comme mes robes, et beaucoup plus souvent portées que celles-ci, me font des ampoules aux pieds quand je les soumets à ce rythme intensif. Et mon budget chaussettes risque d’exposer, vu que les même chaussures, non contentes de me déchirer la peau des orteils, s’attaquent également au tissu qui les recouvre…
